National Geographic

Editorial illustration for an iconic magazine

National Geographic asked me to make an illustration for an article in their magazine about the increasing proximity of spider monkeys to urban areas in Mexico at the eastcoast. As rapidly growing cities edge closer to their natural habitat, these monkeys are being forced to adapt to a new environment. In this piece, I aimed to capture the tension between untouched nature and encroaching urbanization, symbolizing both the vulnerability and resilience of wildlife in a shifting landscape.

It was an honor to contribute to such a renowned publication and bring attention to this important issue through my work.
