Tactile Wall illustrations for an art school

I’m incredibly proud to share a project I worked on for HKU, where I had the opportunity to design a stunning new wall for their canteen. Working alongside the fantastic team at de ruimdenkers, we created an eye-catching narrative wall that not only celebrates HKU’s creative spirit but also enhances the space’s acoustics with its beautiful PET felt material. This sustainable, textured material does wonders for sound absorption, making the canteen quieter and more comfortable.

The wall itself is a visual journey, with illustrations that invite discovery — details you notice with every look. The PET felt adds an extra layer of depth to the artwork and giving the design a soft, tactile feel. The result is a striking feature that transforms the atmosphere, encouraging people to linger a bit longer.

As an illustrator and proud HKU alumnus, seeing my work come to life in this way fills me with excitement. The result is sleek, impactful, and a perfect reflection of the collaborative spirit among all of us who once studied here.
